Keepin up with the Joneses
I was fine with all I had
All my needs fulfilled
Didn't want for anything
I'm not that material
You are never satisfied
Thinkin there is more to life
She has this, he has that
You see it, you need it
So your, keepin up with the joneses
Always, Keepin up with the joneses
Tryin to, keepin up with the joneses
It's a game you never win
I have food and shelter
The basic needs of life
Don't need a label or a Benz
To fulfill my life
It seemed to you that everyone
Has more then you do
You believe you lose in life
If you can't have everything

The Raven
Refuse to conform, your so called norm
The style of today, blind guide the way
Do as you want, I want to stay free
Contradict all others, even the powers that be
Worry 'bout everything, lose what's in plain sight
Fight just to argue, care not wrong or right
Televisions appetite, rotting all our brains
No longer a question, yeah we're all fucked insane
All of you threaten your suicide dreams
Harmonious crimes, cry feel sorry for me
Listen to others, preachers one and all
All say nothing like the writings on the wall
My words to the point, remain so direct
In the mirror I see, I never reflect
Complain if you want, cry as you need
As the falling world crumbles
My frozen heart bleeds
HERE COMES THE RAVEN
KNOCKING HARD UPON THE DOOR
FUTURE LOOKING DARKER
NOW AND NEVERMORE

Takin' Time
My whole life has been spent in a dream land
Living everything all by my slight of hand
Virtual Death has come calling my name
Destruction in his eyes, I've fallin' in his game
Now I'm,
Taking time
Without persistance
Facing life
With all my internal fear
Darkness takes it's toll
Blood runs like oceans deep
All that follow will suffer
While the loved ones sit and weep

Book of Shadows
Two Innocent lives,
Two People at war,
The air between them,
Misty and cold what for.
As they battle between good and evil,
One for justice,
One for revenge,
What will happen at the end?
Battle on brothers of darkness,
Battle on sweet innocent one,
As the fire’s still burning high,
In a full circle the spells now begun.
As the hatred rages on,
And the darkness seems so cold,
And a book with open pages,
Waiting to be told.
When out of the dark,
We begin to grow,
As the past turns to light,
And the seeds we now sew.
As the shadows come out of the darkness,
We awaken to a new soul,
The mysteries of our beginnings,
Are now the new goal.

RED EYES
Red eyes
Red eyes glaring
Staring at me
Waiting
To engulf me
In a sea of blood
My enemies
Lie dead around me
My friends
Have all deserted me
Now, it’s up to me
To destroy
Whatever is behind
Those glaring red eyes.
I move to strike
TOO LATE –
I’m dead
Shakira Torres
Master shows his evil face
To no one but me
As I lie awake at night I wonder
Are there more like he?
The Beast he lies real deep
Way down deep inside
And when the Beast comes forth
It’s like Master had done died.
Then Master comes alive again
When the Beast is through
He may be gone, but scars remain –
A lifetime, maybe two.

The Serpent
As I looked at you
the glaze came over you and
I recognized the Serpent
with eyes of tempting gems
glistening red
Your skin was a shade of pale
…the skin of the dead
Sewn together at the seams
with the skin of the living
it’s internals their dreams
The stench of the beast
floating through the air
reminded me of nights alone
of depression
of one more fix
and people who forgot to care.
I began to say just one more time
that you had fallen down again
but the Serpent wrapped around
your leg turned its head to mine
and said,”Don’t bother kid, he
needs me now! I want to teach him
to fly! I remember you!
I remember what friends we were
and how you left me alone to die!
So don’t you bother, don’t waste
your time. You may have gotten
away, but this one, this one’s mine.”
Nothing I can say can change you now.
My final plea to you has fallen upon deaf
Ears and the Serpent knew as he whispered
In your mind of long trips from home
of joy, and people in search of a good time.
It told you stories of internal glories,
and I saw myself I your smile.
My past haunting me now, I hear my screams
As the Serpent cast its spell
The parasite gnawing through your skull
To a home where it could now dwell.
In remorse you reminisce of monsters
In your brain. And though you think
You’re rid of them, you really haven’t changed.
For one day you’ll see the Serpent
From a different point of view
And you’ll recognize true horror
As you gaze upon the real you.

When I cried
You consoled me
When I fell
You helped me up
When I was hurt
You took care of me
When I was lost
You found me
When I was out in the cold
You took me in and kept me warm
When I needed it most
You gave me your love
And when I died
It was you alone who cried.

An evil presence
Now controls my every move,
Gone is my sense of logic
Everything becomes a blur as
Reality slips out of my hands – forever.

What its like
It's like waking up in a green field, on a cool spring morning.
The sun tickling my skin as the dew from the night is
dissapating into its rays.
It's like listening to a stream dancing over stones polished by
time. It's gentle bubbling only interuppted by the graceful
song of a mockingbird.
It's like the fire's warmth on a cold snowy night. The visions
of pianists and woodwind players dancing in the flames,
mimicking the smooth sound of jazz playing in the
background.
It's like seeing the first pale violet crocus peeking up through
the last April snow, and watching the sun glow orange on the
ground around it.
It's like cozy, kitten soft sheets after a long hard day.
Curling up in thier instant warmth and letting the day melt
off my weary bones, allowing a sense of solitude and
relaxation.
